Corporate & Investment Banking provides a full range of financial advisory and capital‑raising services to corporate and institutional clients on transactions with a North American component. We work closely with our clients to understand their needs and then work as an integrated team to bring unique solutions, building long‑term relationships and executing flawlessly.
Investment Banking is organized into areas of expertise: product, regional, and industry. Each area is critical to ensuring our clients receive the right strategic advice and the capital they need to realize their objectives.
TD Securities is one of the most active North American dealers in Debt and Equity products. CIB Credit is our team of in‑house credit assessment professionals, involved in the origination of business and responsible for structuring, analysis, risk assessment and ongoing monitoring of borrowers in the Power & Renewables industry.
Responsibilities include:
- Being involved with the structuring of new credit transactions, preparation of credit applications, providing support related to client development, and supporting transaction execution
- Prepare and recommend credit submissions including new business, annual and interim client reviews
- Conduct appropriate market, industry, and client research and risk analysis
- Work closely with Investment Banking and other product groups, including Leveraged Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, Derivatives, Cash Management and Foreign Exchange to ensure cross‑sell opportunities are being developed and captured
- Assist Loan Syndications in preparing materials and providing information to lenders in the syndicate
- Develop and maintain solid and effective working relationships with clients, internal and external business partners, and credit adjudicators
- 3-5 years of relevant credit and industry experience with strong financial/analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- Knowledge of MS Excel required
- Well‑organized, detail oriented
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and establish priorities with minimal supervision
- Proactive and highly motivated
- Capacity to develop advanced financial modeling skills and work effectively in a team
- Enthusiasm for renewable energy and the clean energy transition
