A premier Registered Investment Advisor in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a Junior Fixed Income Trader to join its collaborative investment team.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an emerging fixed income professional who wants to do more than simply execute trades. - Execute trades across fixed income and related securities.
- Partner with Portfolio Managers and the Head Fixed Income Trader to identify attractive bond opportunities within targeted credit parameters.
- Assist with the management and implementation of customized fixed income portfolios.
- Develop relationships with broker-dealers and sell‑side trading desks.
- Monitor market activity, significant holdings, and sector developments affecting portfolio positioning.
- Provide timely market color, trading commentary, and investment insights.
- Reconcile trade blotters and ensure accurate trade reporting.
- Support portfolio management and trading systems, including customized rules and workflows.
- Collaborate with Compliance to ensure adherence to FINRA and MSRB regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of fixed income trading experience.
- Municipal bond experience strongly preferred.
- Active Series 7 and Series 66 (or Series 63 and Series 65) licenses are required.
- Series 52 and/or 57 are a plus.
- Experience with multiple fixed‑income trading platforms.
- Strong analytical, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
- Intellectual curiosity, exceptional attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
