Responsibilities
- Perform KYC onboarding, including fund client (i.e. Cayman fund clients) onboarding, preparing client agreements and account openings/closing.
- Execute pre-acceptance and onboarding processes for new custody client accounts.
- Investigating and responding to client inquiries and provide training to clients on Custody systems.
- Utilize vendor applications, in-house systems and EUC tools to manage daily work.
- Provide performance metrics, KPIs and regulatory reporting data related to custody clients, accounts and their transactions.
- User Acceptance Testing of custody systems.
- Supporting RCSA related work and audits while collaborating with Compliance, Risk and the Business Managers to provide deliverables.
- Updating of group procedures, participating in other projects as necessary.
- Support other areas of Custody including Cash Control as needs arise.
- Based on changes in the business work environment, job responsibilities can change, and additional functions and tasks may be added or removed accordingly. Additionally, this position will perform other duties as required, and participate in special projects as deemed necessary and appropriate by Management.
Experience:
6-10 years of relevant work experience (title dependent on experience).
- Candidate must have solid understanding of securities industry in one of following fields (KYC onboarding, Custody operations, Cash and Trade Processing).
- Exposure to various custody systems, custody client web portals.
- Experience handling Japanese institutional clients.
- Experience handling client custody agreements, fee schedules, fee invoicing.
- Candidate must be flexible to work overtime from time to time as business requires.
- Must be detail oriented, organized, and a fast learner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Access.
- Ability to multi-task (handling regular duties while working on projects).
- Previous supervisory experience required.
- Bi-lingual in English and Japanese is required due to working directly with Japanese clients.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $90K-$150K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
