Experienced Associate – Investment Banking, Healthcare Services

Overview

Guggenheim Securities (GS) is seeking an experienced Associate to join its Healthcare Services Investment Banking group located in New York. The Healthcare Services Group covers sub-verticals including pharma services, providers, payors, animal health and HCIT. Associates play an integral role in developing client relationships and are active participants throughout the life of transactions and beyond. The team provides M&A advisory and capital raising (equity and fixed income) services to corporate clients.

GS offers a collaborative environment with exposure to senior bankers and client representatives, and provides formal and hands-on Investment Banking training—covering M&A process management, financial analysis, data analysis, presentation skills, negotiations, and professional communication.

• Lead day-to-day project management and oversee execution on a range of advisory and financing transactions.
• Prepare and contribute to delivery of client presentations; interact with senior bankers, clients, lawyers, and accountants.
• Assist in the design and development of complex financial models and valuation analysis.
• Draft internal and client-facing documents, including management presentations, lender presentations, fairness opinions, and pitchbooks.
• Perform client due diligence, prepare information memoranda and other transaction-related documentation.
• Contribute to the creation of strategic frameworks, tools, and intellectual property to aid business development activities of the firm.
• Conduct competitive research, identify sector and industry trends.
• Gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, and communicate recommendations to senior leadership.

• 3-6 years of investment banking or equivalent M&A experience.
• Significant level of maturity and the ability to work as a team interfacing with top company executives and senior management.
• Highly organized, with initiative and ability to work with limited supervision.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Effective process management abilities.
• Basic qualifications:
  
  Bachelor's degree; core modeling and valuation experience in a professional setting.
• Licenses: SIE, Series 79 and Series 63 must be acquired within 150 days of employment.
• Work Location:
  
  New York office, in-office at least 4 days per week.
• Salary: base salary between $175,000 and $200,000. The base salary range reflects the anticipated base salary; total compensation may include additional components such as incentive compensation.
