Financial Analyst, Corporate Finance, Risk Manager/Analyst

MUFG is an expert in project finance, supporting clients in acquiring, building, or recapitalizing assets across power, energy, natural resources, transportation, social infrastructure, and digital infrastructure sectors.
Responsibilities- Model complex financial projections in Microsoft Excel, including cash flows, debt financing, and tax structures.
- Conduct detailed analysis and due diligence for new opportunities in North America and Lat Am in the power, natural resources, and infrastructure sectors.
- Review market studies, engineering reports, financial models, financial statements, customer financial information, project contracts, and legal analyses.
- Review information about project assets, development plans, and commercial arrangements.
- Analyze credit documentation, term sheets, and work with bank products (loans, interest rate swaps, foreign exchange and bonds) to meet client needs and objectives.
- Analyze, understand, and negotiate covenants in financing documentation, including those pertaining to maintenance of financial ratios and financial reporting of results.
- Prepare detailed documentation summarizing opportunity analysis, including expected financial results and risk analysis for senior management and control functions.
- Support Project Finance deals and transactions from origination and diligence through to closing, liaising with the Portfolio Group using in-depth knowledge of the project finance market, credit analysis, and administration.
- Advise clients on commercial and financial structure, and operating requirements to achieve suitability for non-recourse debt financing.
- Prepare marketing materials using Microsoft PowerPoint and Word relevant to opportunities in power, natural resources, and infrastructure sectors.
- Analyze new transactions and prepare credit applications to the internal credit team, including analysis of financial conditions and projections for review and approval.
- Oversee and manage internal processes for compliance and execution, including KYC, profitability analysis, committee approvals, legal due diligence, and closing checklists.
- Solid experience developing project finance models with Excel and strong quantitative skills in financial analysis and credit risk analysis.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of related Accounting or Financial Services work experience, preferably with project finance experience.
- Experience with project finance transactions in power, natural resources, energy, or transportation infrastructure sectors.
- Strong collaboration in a team-based environment, with effective communication and individual accountability.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $175K-$185K, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Eligible for discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
