Summary: Sustainable Fitch is seeking an Analyst based out of our New York office to assess environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors and integrate sustainability considerations into credit ratings and research.
Language requirement: Advanced or fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese.

- Understand and apply Sustainable Fitch’s analytical methodologies and the approach to assessing sustainability impacts across a broad range of activities.
- Deliver high-quality, timely written analysis on sustainability characteristics and performance of entities and debt issuances. Provide well-constructed arguments supported by verified data.
- Monitor a portfolio of companies daily and work with peers globally to leverage knowledge and establish strong working relationships.
- Keep up to date with global sustainability trends, including regulatory developments and sector-specific changes.
- Degree in a discipline with a technical background related to environmental science, social risk, governance, economics, business, or finance.
- Minimum one to three years of sustainability experience and knowledge of current market themes and regulations, including international taxonomies for sustainable activities.
- Basic financial literacy and ability to work with data; strong analytical and critical thinking skills; attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; self-starter with initiative and time-management abilities.
- Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish; proficiency in additional languages is beneficial.
- Passion for sustainability, knowledge of international taxonomies (EU Taxonomy) and guidelines/standards (OECD, UN Global Compact).
- Interest in credit, fixed income, and financial statement analysis.
- Experience in the financial institution sector; intellectual curiosity in responsible investing and sustainable finance.
- Additional language skills beyond English and Spanish, with preference for Portuguese.
- Strong attention to detail, execution, and ability to prioritize workload; ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into clear summaries.

Compensation
:
Expected base pay for the role will be between $70,000 and $80,000 per year. Salary is determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on education, training, experience, past performance, and other factors. Base pay may be complemented by bonuses, incentives, and other benefits offered by Fitch.
