Position Summary
The Finance and Administration Office at the School of Professional Studies is seeking an individual to serve as a Budget Assistant III. Responsibilities include processing and reviewing payroll related activities, expense reports, procurement transactions, contracts, and vendor payments. Assist with adjunct faculty onboarding and provide guidance on payroll, expense reimbursement, and University systems. Respond to inquiries regarding financial policies, procedures, documentation requirements, and deadlines while assisting faculty and staff with financial and administrative processes.
Review financial transactions to verify they are accurately recorded and charged to the appropriate chart fields. Maintain financial records and databases, reconcile transactions, support day to day financial operations, and coordinate the preparation of budget reports and grant related documentation.
Required
Education:
2 years of specialized training or equivalent or some College.
Preferred Education: Associates degree.
Required Experience: 3 years of related experience. Experience providing a high level of customer service.
Preferred Experience: Experience working in a financial or accounting firm processing a large volume of transactions.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Proficiency with intermediate-level spreadsheet, database and word processing applications. Knowledge of financial software package.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Proficiency with intermediate-level Microsoft Excel and Word.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $39.129. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
