Join Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) as an Associate in the Digital Infrastructure Investment Banking team within the Global Corporate & Investment Banking group. This role supports senior team members in managing major client relationships and prospects, contributing to business origination and deal execution across lending, M&A finance, advisory, structured finance, and capital markets.
Responsibilities- Assist the Digital Infrastructure banking team in expanding MUFG’s presence across the digital infrastructure space.
- Manage and monitor the execution of operational aspects of business origination, including portfolio profitability analysis, deal origination and execution follow‑through, economic capital analysis, and customer‑intensive processes.
- Liaise with Product and Sponsor Coverage Groups to structure and execute deals.
- Primary contact for the Global Network and management of Global Exposure Reports.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of market trends, customer developments, and credit issues, including regular industry trading and transaction comps.
- Conduct due diligence on proposed client deals as required.
- Assist the team in establishing and enhancing internal policies and guidelines for the digital infrastructure sector.
- Perform operational duties related to business origination and deal execution, including financial modeling, loan documentation, problem solving, market research, and internal/external communications.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum three (3) years of Corporate and Investment Banking experience, with credit experience ideally within a product group (e.g., leveraged finance, project finance, or structured finance).
- Experience in conducting valuation analyses (DCF, trading and transaction comps).
- Strong business and interpersonal skills.
- Marketing experience preferred.
- Financial modeling skills and proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Credit training preferred.
Typical base pay range: $145,000–$155,000, depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. The role may also be eligible for discretionary performance‑based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
