Tax Manager, Tax Advisor
Our client is a 120-person regional firm with offices in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The firm has served multi-generational family wealth, real estate developers, and closely held businesses for over 40 years and is aggressively expanding its private client services practice.
The incoming Tax Partner will be expected to bring or develop a portable book of business while providing technical leadership across complex individual, trust, estate, gift, and entity-level tax matters. You will collaborate with the firm's estate planning and family office advisory teams to deliver fully integrated wealth planning services.
This role is ideal for a Senior Manager or Director at a Big 4 or large regional firm who has cultivated strong client relationships and is ready to step into ownership. The firm offers a transparent and meritocratic compensation structure with a competitive equity buy-in.
Requirements- CPA required; JD or LLM in Taxation strongly preferred
- 15+ years of public accounting experience with substantial exposure to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients
- Demonstrated ability to originate, retain, and grow client relationships
- Deep technical knowledge of estate and gift taxation, trust structures, and partnership allocations
- Existing portable book of $500K+ in annual billings strongly preferred
