Our clientis one of the world's leading credit investors, managing capital across private credit, liquid credit, structured products, and insurance solutions. The firm is seeking a Private Credit Operations Associate to join its growing Operations team. This role offers the opportunity to support a diverse portfolio of private credit investments while working closely with investment professionals, portfolio managers, legal, finance, treasury, and external counter parties in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

The Private Credit Operations Associate will be responsible for supporting the full operational lifecycle of private credit investments and financing transactions. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the accurate execution, settlement, servicing, and reporting of complex credit investments while contributing to process enhancements, operational controls, and automation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of private credit products, loan operations, and investment servicing, along with exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Support the end-to-end operational lifecycle of private credit investments, including direct lending, asset-based finance, and structured credit transactions.
  • Coordinate transaction closings by reviewing executed legal documentation and ensuring accurate setup across internal investment and operational platforms.
  • Manage loan settlements, funding events, principal and interest payments, fee calculations, amendments, restructurings, and loan payoff activities.
  • Maintain and reconcile loan positions, investment records, and cash movements across portfolio accounting and loan administration systems.
  • Perform daily cash and position reconciliations while investigating and resolving operational discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Monitor covenant reporting schedules, borrowing base updates, and servicing obligations received from borrowers, agents, and administrators.
  • Coordinate with external administrators, custodians, trustees, loan agents, and fund accountants to facilitate accurate and timely transaction processing.
  • Partner with Treasury to support funding requirements, liquidity management, and cash forecasting activities.
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting, including NAV support, portfolio valuation processes, audit requests, and financial reporting.
  • Support new product launches, operational initiatives, system implementations, and workflow automation projects.
  • Develop, document, and maintain operational procedures, internal controls, and best practices to strengthen the firm's operating environment.
  • Identify operational risks and recommend scalable solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with Investment Professionals, Portfolio Management, Legal, Finance, Treasury, Technology, and Compliance teams to support ongoing business initiatives.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of operations experience within private credit, direct lending, leveraged finance, structured finance, loan administration, or alternative asset management.
  • Strong understanding of private credit products, syndicated loans, direct lending structures, and debt servicing workflows.
  • Experience supporting loan lifecycle events including trade settlements, funding, interest accruals, amendments, restructurings, repayments, and portfolio servicing.
  • Hands-on experience with portfolio accounting, loan administration, or investment operations platforms such as Allvue, WSO, Geneva, Solvas, Clearwater, or similar systems.
