Director of Finance - Wealth Management

We are recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing and well known RIA for a Director of Finance. This is a newly created position that offers significant growth potential, along with the opportunity to take ownership of the firm's corporate finance function and play a strategic role in shaping its financial operations and long-term direction.

• Serve as the senior finance leader for the organization, overseeing a small internal team responsible for billing and AP/AR in an oversight capacity
• Partner with an outside accounting firm managing the books across the firm's entity structure, including oversight of any offshore accounting functions
• Oversee financial reporting and governance across the firm's asset management entities
• Analyze the business on a client-by-client basis, building P&L views by client to identify revenue concentration and resource-intensive relationships
• Provide financial oversight and structuring support for SPVs and other alternative investment vehicles
• Partner with the management team on business analytics, including data mining, metrics reporting, and financial modeling
• Translate financial data for other stakeholders across the firm - for example, working with sales leadership on compensation structures, revenue, expenses, and break-even analysis
• Understand and help oversee compensation models and investment models used across the business
• Understand custodian relationships and billing processes specific to the RIA business
• Act as a strategic partner to firm leadership on financial planning and long-term business strategy
• Bring sound judgment and a fiduciary mindset to financial decision-making across the organization

• 7+ years of Strategic Finance and Accounting experience within an Investment Management firm, such as an RIA or Family Office
• 3+ years applying data analytics within a finance function - ideally in an operational or firm oversight capacity
• Strong understanding of wealth & investment management industry-specific operations
• Experience with and knowledge of diversified investment products and structures (e.g., SPVs, alternative investments), not limited to end-client advisory
• Strong data analytics and Excel skills
• Familiarity with Quick Books is a plus, not required
