Asset-Backed Finance Senior Lead Banker

The Asset-Backed Finance Senior Lead Banker will lead origination, structuring, and execution of bespoke financing solutions within Fund Finance across a broad range of asset classes and fund-level financing strategies. This role will involve both client-facing responsibilities and transaction leadership, supporting institutional clients such as alternative asset managers, corporates and financial sponsors with customized financing solutions.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop and manage relationships with institutional clients, including asset managers, private equity funds, specialty finance companies, and corporates.

• Identify financing opportunities and deliver tailored asset-backed or fund-level solutions.

• Lead preparation and delivery of client pitches, proposals, and strategic financing ideas.

• Lead transaction structuring and documentation across a variety of deal types; overseeing transaction execution from initial structuring through closing, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

• Oversee due diligence processes, credit analysis, structuring, documentation, negotiation, and closing.

• Coordinate internal teams including legal, risk, compliance and operations to ensure successful transaction execution.

• Maintain a strong understanding of structured finance markets, regulatory trends, and investor preferences.

• Lead credit approval processes, including preparation of internal memos, risk assessments, and pricing recommendations. Monitor portfolio performance and support ongoing risk management activities.

• Team-oriented with leadership experience and mentoring capabilities; guiding junior team members through execution processes and financial analysis.

Educational Requirements

• University (Degree) Preferred

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in asset-backed finance, structured finance, leveraged finance, corporate banking, investment banking, or a related credit-focused role, with demonstrated experience originating, structuring, and executing financing transactions.

• Experience leading complex credit transactions from origination through closing.

• VP or Director Level experience, highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in asset-backed lending, fund finance, specialty finance, structured credit, or capital markets, with direct exposure to alternative asset managers, private equity sponsors, and institutional investors.

• Proven expertise structuring and executing bespoke asset-backed and fund-level financing solutions

• Demonstrated client relationship management and leadership experience, including originating new business opportunities, leading client presentations, managing credit approval processes, and mentoring junior team members.
