As a Managing Director in the Healthcare Investment Banking group, you’ll provide clients with advice on all aspects of M&A and capital markets alternatives through highly focused industry teams with world‑class, global execution capabilities. You’ll be an important part of our highly experienced, industry‑focused team and work at the forefront of high‑profile transactions.
You’ll be working in a team environment with corporate finance and established investment banking professionals on a variety of projects with primarily responsibility for leading the Payor Services practice that includes coverage of managed care, value‑based care and related organizations as part of a group with broad healthcare and life sciences coverage capabilities. Our team works to initiate and execute transactions on behalf of our clients that reflect their strategy and are supported by industry trends.
You’ll be responsible for delivering comprehensive investment banking solutions, M&A, debt and equity transaction execution to the broad universe of companies in Payor Services and related sectors.
- Initiate and lead the execution of investment banking engagements in the Payor Services sector.
- Cover the Payor Services sector and related subsectors, including origination and execution of both buy‑side and sell‑side M&A transactions as well as capital markets transactions.
- Handle private and public middle‑market enterprises and relevant private equity sponsors.
- Leverage EY’s global reach and network to communicate the firm’s unique investment banking capabilities to client senior executives.
- Lead and develop a team of mid‑level and junior members, ensuring their career development.
- A bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of directly related work experience; or a graduate degree and at least 7 years of related work experience.
- Extensive investment banking experience, particularly originating and executing M&A transactions.
- Existing Series 7 and/or 79 plus Series 63 securities licenses (in good standing).
- Ability to work directly with clients as the most senior banking team representative able to manage all client deliverables.
- Strong experience with both originating transactions and leading a team in execution.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship‑building skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Proven record of excellence in transaction execution, specific to mergers, acquisitions and capital markets in Payor Services and related sectors.
- Experience gained within another credible investment banking organization.
- Established networking skills in a relevant industry.
- Willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
- Must either reside in or be in a commutable distance to your office location for this position.
- Knowledge of how to leverage AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot (preferred).
- Comprehensive compensation and benefits package; base salary range $265,000‑$325,000 (US). Total Rewards includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
