OverviewThis is an Associate Director-level Credit Risk opportunity within the Specialized Finance function of a well-established global financial institution, focused on evaluating and managing credit risk across a diverse portfolio of specialized finance transactions spanning infrastructure, renewable energy, and digital development projects. The role sits at the intersection of financial sponsor strategy and project finance credit risk - offering meaningful involvement in large-scale transaction assessment, due diligence, and risk mitigation strategy development.
It's an ideal fit for a specialized finance credit professional with 7-10 years of experience who combines solid expertise in project finance structures, financial modeling, and sponsor-backed transactions with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and risk committees effectively.
- Conduct credit risk assessments for specialized finance transactions including analysis of financial models, project viability, creditworthiness, and structural risk factors across infrastructure, renewable energy, and digital development sectors
- Support and participate in due diligence efforts to evaluate project risks and coordinate with legal, technical, environmental, and other expert stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle
- Contribute to the development of risk mitigation strategies to protect the institution's interests while supporting successful project outcomes
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including project sponsors, lenders, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment across transaction execution
- Prepare risk reports, presentations, and credit views for senior management and Risk Management Committee
- Stay current on market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to inform risk assessment across the specialized finance portfolio
- Support streamlining and simplification initiatives across the credit risk function both locally and globally
