Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Equity Research Analyst (VP/Director) to join a global investment team focused on long‑term, fundamental equity investing. This role is ideal for a highly analytical investment professional with extensive experience conducting bottom‑up equity research, developing investment recommendations, and building comprehensive financial models.
The successful candidate will work closely with portfolio managers, evaluate public companies across multiple industries, monitor existing investments, and identify new investment opportunities. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a global team while contributing directly to investment performance through rigorous research and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth fundamental equity research using a bottom‑up investment approach.
- Analyze companies, industries, and market trends to identify attractive investment opportunities.
- Build and maintain detailed three‑statement financial models and valuation models.
- Perform company valuations using DCF, comparable company analysis, and other accepted methodologies.
- Generate and present new investment ideas to portfolio managers.
- Monitor portfolio holdings, earnings releases, industry developments, and company‑specific events.
- Prepare investment reports and presentations for internal investment discussions.
- Meet with company management teams through conferences, earnings calls, and on‑site visits.
- Maintain frequent communication with portfolio managers regarding investment opportunities and portfolio risks.
- Collaborate effectively with global research teams across multiple regions and time zones.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- MBA and/or CFA designation preferred.
- Approximately 15+ years of equity research experience.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, company valuation, and financial statement analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Deep understanding of accounting, corporate finance, and valuation methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced investment environment.
- 15+ years of equity research experience with strong buy‑side exposure.
- Expert in financial modeling, valuation, and company analysis.
- Comfortable working within a lean, collaborative investment team.
- Demonstrates strong ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Stable employment history with progressive career growth.
- Experience working within global or multicultural investment organizations is preferred.
- Technology sector research experience is a plus but not required.
