Role Description

Rodman & Renshaw is seeking a highly motivated Head of Institutional Sales to join our Institutional Sales team in our New York office. This is a full-time, in-office position for an experienced sales professional with an established network of institutional investors and a strong understanding of the equity capital markets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with institutional investors while working closely with Investment Banking, Equity Research, Syndicate, and Trading to market the firm's investment opportunities and capital markets transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, develop, and manage relationships with institutional investors, including mutual funds, hedge funds, family offices, pension funds, insurance companies, and asset managers.
  • Market the firm's public and private equity transactions to institutional investors.
  • Generate new institutional business opportunities and expand the firm's investor network.
  • Coordinate and execute corporate access events, including investor meetings, conferences, and both deal and non-deal roadshows in the U.S. and internationally.
  • Work closely with Investment Banking, Equity Research, Trading teams to maximize client engagement and transaction execution.
  • Provide market intelligence and investor feedback to internal teams and corporate clients.
  • Deliver exceptional client service while maintaining long-term investor relationships.
  • Meet individual and team sales objectives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • FINRA Series 7 license required (Series 63 preferred).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of institutional sales experience within an investment bank, broker-dealer, or capital markets platform.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and managing institutional investor relationships.
  • Strong understanding of equity capital markets, investment banking, and financial markets.
  • Established relationships with institutional investors are strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a proven ability to generate new business and build lasting client relationships.
  • Prior institutional sales or relevant capital markets experience is required.
