We are seeking a Vice President – Equity Research to join a leading global investment bank's Technology & Industrials research team in New York.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of company coverage within a dynamic sector, producing high-quality investment research for institutional clients while working closely with Sales, Trading, and Investment Banking teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing differentiated investment ideas, publishing research, engaging with management teams, and mentoring junior research professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Lead coverage of publicly traded companies across the Technology & Industrials sectors.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and earnings forecasts.
- Publish timely research reports, industry updates, and investment recommendations.
- Analyze company fundamentals, competitive dynamics, and industry trends.
- Participate in earnings calls, management meetings, conferences, and client presentations.
- Develop strong relationships with institutional investors and corporate management teams.
- Mentor and oversee Equity Research Associates while helping drive the team's research efforts.
- 5+ years of experience in Equity Research, Investment Banking, or a related public markets role.
- Experience covering Technology, Industrials, or adjacent sectors is strongly preferred.
- Advanced financial modeling, accounting, and valuation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to articulate complex investment ideas.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA and/or CFA designation is a plus.
