Portfolio Valuation Manager

New York City (or Chicago) | Hybrid, 4 days/week onsite

$120,000-$175,000 base

A leading private investment platform is seeking a Valuation & Portfolio Analytics Manager to join its growing finance organization.

This role combines investment valuation, portfolio analytics, financial modeling, and data-driven reporting across a diversified portfolio of private equity, private credit, real estate, and venture investments.

Beyond traditional valuation work, you'll help modernize reporting, improve data quality, build scalable processes, and partner with senior investment professionals on portfolio insights that support strategic decision making.

• Prepare and review quarterly investment valuations
• Build and maintain valuation and financial models
• Analyze portfolio company financial performance and operating metrics
• Review comparable companies, precedent transactions, and market data Prepare materials for investment and valuation committees
• Monitor portfolio performance and investment returns
• Support investment performance reporting and investor reporting
• Partner with investment teams throughout the valuation process
• Coordinate with auditors and third-party valuation specialists
• Build dashboards, improve reporting processes, and automate manual workflows
• Support fundraising, investor relations, and strategic finance initiatives

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline
• 3-8 years of valuation, transaction advisory, corporate finance, investment analysis, or financial reporting experience
• Strong financial modeling and valuation experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with Power BI, Workiva, Anaplan, iLevel, Snowflake, or similar tools is a plus
