Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: New York

At Fundbox, we're building the future of embedded capital - putting fast, intuitive access to funding directly into the tools small businesses use every day. Our mission is to unlock the potential of small businesses by giving them financial agility and peace of mind. Achieving that takes outstanding people, and that's where you come in.

We're looking for a talented Capital Markets Manager to join our exceptional team at a pivotal stage of growth and help create a better way forward for our customers. Sitting within our broader Finance organization and reporting to the Head of Capital Markets, you'll be a key member of a lean, high-impact team that sits at the center of how Fundbox funds its business.

You'll work directly with our capital providers and play a hands-on role in executing our funding strategy, including participating in new capital markets transactions, driving ongoing analysis and managing relationships with capital providers that power our growth.

This is a rare seat for someone who wants end-to-end exposure across our funding programs: you'll see facilities from initial structuring through negotiation, execution, and ongoing lender management, with meaningful visibility to senior leadership and institutional counter parties from day one.

Along with colleagues across Fundbox’s credit, product, engineering and other functions, this role is based out of our office in the heart of Chelsea, steps from the High Line & Chelsea Market, surrounded by some of New York's best food, energy, and tech scene. It's a hybrid role (3 days/week in-office, 2 days/week from home), providing you with flexibility while staying connected to the team in one of the city's most vibrant neighborhoods.

Job

requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Structured finance, business, economics, or engineering
  • 4–6+ years of experience in structured credit or finance - ideally at an investment bank, credit fund, ABS issuer, or fintech
  • Excellent analytical and modeling skills, with sharp attention to detail
  • Experience with structured finance transactions - warehouse facilities, securitizations, and/or whole loan sales / forward flow
  • Experience with or exposure to SQL/Python
  • Strong project management skills, including polished written and verbal communication
  • The ability to think critically & solve complex problems in a fast-moving, often ambiguous environment
Job responsibilities
  • Own the weekly and monthly reporting cadence that sustains Fundbox's borrowing capacity across our credit facilities - the deliverables our lenders rely on - while enhancing our reporting automation and capabilities
  • Partner both internally with Fundbox colleagues and externally with counter parties to evaluate Fundbox's funding options and build the relationships that support the company's growth
  • Collaborate on new credit facility, forward flow program and securitization execution - including financial modeling and ad hoc analyses, management of due diligence processes, and documentation review
  • Manage communications and information requests from existing and prospective counter parties, including investors, lenders, and rating agencies
  • Work cross-functionally across the organization (product, credit, finance, legal, engineering) to support new product ideation, implement the operational requirements of transactions, and advance broader capital markets initiatives
