Credit Officer, Fund Finance

Independent credit assessment and approval recommendation of complex Funds Finance transactions, supporting credit decisioning across a multi-billion-dollar Financial Sponsors portfolio. This is a true second-line Credit Risk role, where you'll develop and present independent credit views on large-scale Subscription Finance and related structured lending transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Independently assess and recommend credit decisions on complex Funds Finance transactions, primarily Subscription Finance facilities, with exposure to NAV lending and other structured fund finance products
• Prepare and present well-reasoned credit recommendations to senior Credit Officers and Credit Committee
• Perform detailed credit analysis, financial modelling, stress testing and scenario analysis on structured lending exposures
• Assess fund structures, investor quality, borrowing bases, collateral and key transaction risks
• Conduct due diligence and challenge transaction structures throughout the credit approval process
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging credit risks across an institutional Financial Sponsors portfolio
• Partner closely with Coverage, Origination and senior stakeholders while maintaining an independent risk perspective

Skills & experience required

• 6+ years' experience in second-line Credit Risk or Credit Officer roles within Fund Finance, Subscription Finance or Financial Sponsors lending
• Demonstrable experience making credit recommendations and supporting credit decisioning, ideally with delegated approval authority
• Strong experience underwriting and assessing complex Subscription Finance or other structured lending transactions within a bank
• Excellent financial modelling, credit analysis and credit writing skills
• Knowledge of Subscription Finance, NAV lending, Financial Sponsors and private markets structures
• Experience preparing and presenting credit papers for senior approvers, Credit Committee or other delegated approval forums
