Overview
Supports foreclosure process by handing demand letter distribution for several states within M&T Bank’s footprint.
Primary ResponsibilitiesHandle the processing of MI Claim requests for the appropriate MI Company. Responsible for the accurate completion of REO Payee Header requests, Foreclosure Evaluations, and Mortgage/Consumer check processing. Initiate and complete the state demand letter process for assigned states including the appropriate registration procedure. Complete letter requests through Sharepoint Site environment including quality review and mail merge process execution. Manage daily production of Online Letter Writer (OLLW) queues, certified mail labels, and UPS requests.
Assist Mail Operations with the sorting and delivery of mail items along with providing support for various warehouse duties. Process daily scanning/indexing functions for all business lines within Customer Asset Management. Identify and resolve problematic situations when appropriate referring more complex problems to Supervisor for review. Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand. Complete other related duties as assigned.
This position interacts mainly with internal CAM departments.
Education and Experience Required- 1 year relevant office experience or mortgage collections experience.
- Proficient PC skills including word processing, spreadsheet and email software.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and flexibility to support multiple business lines.
- Motivated team player with a positive and friendly attitude.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem solving.
- Associate’s degree.
- One year of accounting experience.
- Two years legal document processing or foreclosure experience.
- Demonstrated ability to provide direction and lead others.
- Knowledge of State and Federal regulations and Bank policy for all states that the Bank conducts business in.
- Notary Public (as required by department needs).
- Knowledge of M&T Bank systems.
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.31 Hourly (USD).
