Position: Financial Analyst – Accounts Receivable & Collections (Apparel)
Location: New York

Financial Analyst – Accounts Receivable & Collections (Apparel);

Reports to:

CFO;
Work Arrangement:
Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 WFH)

What You’ll Do
  • Monitor invoicing activity in Exenta, ensuring accuracy and timely transmission to the factor
  • Reconcile receipts and payments with the factor, resolving discrepancies
  • Own in-house AR, including aging, cash application and reconciliation
  • Set up new customers internally and with the factor, ensuring proper account configuration and credit approval
  • Research and resolve retailer returns, deductions, and chargebacks, including compliance-related issues (routing, labeling, shortages, etc.); manage recoveries through dispute resolution and chargebacks to factory and/or warehouse
  • Coordinate markdowns and allowances, including tracking and form submissions, and communicate deduction activity monthly
  • Communicate and provide updates on retailer terms and conditions to internal teams
  • Lead collection efforts for both in-house and factor-managed AR to reduce past-due balances
  • Partner with sales, operations, and warehouse teams to improve process compliance and reduce chargebacks
  • Provide support related to financial close, audit requests, and ad-hoc analysis
  • Analyze AR and deduction trends to provide actionable insights that improve cash flow
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, or Deduction Management
  • Apparel industry experience preferred
  • Ability to manage both factor-managed and in-house AR
  • Strong experience with retailer chargebacks, preferably Walmart and Kohl’s
  • Proficiency in Exenta, including AR monitoring and reconciliation
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
