The RoleWe're looking for a Senior Fund Analyst to take a lead role in our hedge fund manager research and due diligence process. This is a senior individual-contributor role for an experienced allocator who can independently source and evaluate managers, own the analytical and diligence process end-to-end, and present well-formed recommendations directly to the investment committee. You'll also help mentor junior team members and contribute to broader portfolio construction and asset allocation decisions.
WhatYou'll Do
- Independently source, screen, and conduct due diligence on hedge fund managers across strategies and geographies
- Lead in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis, including return-based analysis, exposure mapping, and operational due diligence
- Author detailed investment memos articulating thesis, risks, and clear recommendations for the investment committee
- Own ongoing monitoring of existing manager relationships, including performance, exposures, and organizational or strategy changes
- Review and negotiate fund terms and legal documentation (LPAs, side letters, DDQs) in coordination with legal and operational counter parties
- Contribute meaningfully to portfolio construction, manager allocation sizing, and overall asset allocation strategy
- Lead manager meetings and calls, and help guide the diligence agenda
- Mentor and review the work of junior analysts on the team
- 6-10+ years of experience in hedge fund research, fund-of-funds, endowment/foundation or family office allocation, or a related buy-side role
- Demonstrated track record of leading manager due diligence independently, from sourcing through investment committee approval
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with expert-level Excel proficiency;
Python or other analytical tools a plus - Deep familiarity with hedge fund strategies, fee structures, fund documentation, and industry conventions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex analysis clearly and persuasively to senior decision-makers
- A self-starter mentality suited to a small, entrepreneurial team, with sound judgment operating with a high degree of autonomy
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
