A bit about us:We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Accounting & Finance to help scale the financial operations of a fast-growing payments and SaaS company. This role will sit at the intersection of accounting, finance operations, and FP&A — owning the accuracy of financial reporting while building the processes, systems, and insights needed to support continued growth.
The ideal candidate is a builder who thrives in a high-growth technology environment and can operate as both a financial operator and strategic business partner. This person will lead core accounting functions, improve financial infrastructure, drive forecasting and reporting, and partner cross-functionally with leadership, product, sales, and operations teams to support key business decisions.

Job Details Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Operations- Own the accounting function, including month-end close, general ledger management, revenue recognition, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting in accordance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls as the company scales.
- Oversee accounting operations related to SaaS revenue streams, payment processing activity, transaction volume, customer billing, deferred revenue, and subscription metrics.
- Improve and automate accounting processes, systems, and workflows to increase efficiency and scalability.
- Partner with external auditors, tax providers, and banking partners as needed.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes in partnership with executive leadership.
- Develop financial models and reporting tools to provide visibility into revenue growth, gross margin, customer acquisition, retention, profitability, and cash flow.
- Build dashboards and KPIs that help leadership understand business performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Analyze business trends and provide insights into operational performance, investments, and growth opportunities.
- Support strategic initiatives including pricing, product expansion, go-to-market planning, and resource allocation.
- Serve as a key finance partner to executive leadership and cross-functional teams across sales, operations, product, and customer success.
- Evaluate and optimize financial processes across the organization.
- Help scale systems, controls, and reporting infrastructure to support rapid company growth.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, profitability, and decision-making.
- Support strategic projects including fundraising, M&A, system implementations, and other growth initiatives.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with experience in high-growth technology, SaaS, fintech, or payments environments preferred.
- Strong foundation in accounting principles with demonstrated experience owning month-end close and financial reporting.
- Experience building or scaling finance processes, systems, and reporting infrastructure.
- Strong FP&A experience, including budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and KPI development.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights.
- Experience working with SaaS metrics such as ARR, MRR, churn, retention, CAC, LTV, and gross margin.
- Strong systems orientation with experience implementing or optimizing ERP, accounting, and financial reporting tools.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Experience at a venture-backed or high-growth SaaS/payments company.
- Experience scaling finance teams and infrastructure through periods of rapid growth.
- Experience with subscription billing platforms, payment processors, or fintech business models.
- CPA, MBA, or equivalent finance/accounting background preferred.
