About the Role

As Director, Finance Business Partnering - NY Gas Operations, you will lead financial partnership for NY Gas by translating operational plans into credible budgets, forecasts, performance insights, and executive decisions.

You will lead OPEX and CAPEX planning, QRF forecasting, workplan and headcount analysis, rate case and cost recovery support, efficiency validation, and financial performance reviews while coaching a team to deliver clear analysis, strong controls, and proactive problem solving.

Primary stakeholders: NY Gas leadership, NY CFO and Finance leadership, Regulatory, Engineering, Operations, Capital Delivery, Planning, and FP&A.Leadership scope Lead and develop Finance Business Partners with clear standards for analysis, controls, stakeholder support, and problem solving.:

Success looks like Supportable plans, early visibility to risks and opportunities, validated efficiencies, and leadership discussions that result in decisions.

What You ll Do
  • Strategic Finance Leadership
  • Advise NY Gas leaders on budget, forecast, workplan, headcount, capital, regulatory, and cost recovery decisions.
  • Translate operational issues into financial impacts, risks, options, and recommended next steps.
  • Challenge assumptions, validate narratives, and explain the “so what” behind financial results.
  • Prepare concise materials for budget reviews, ORM/BRM discussions, QRF updates, capital reviews, and CFO/COO meetings.
  • Investment, Capital and Portfolio Governance
  • Lead NY Gas budgeting, QRF forecasting, SBP inputs, and monthly OPEX/CAPEX performance reviews.
  • Review workplan units, headcount, labor, contractor spend, burdens, transportation, and rate impacts.
  • Analyze monthly workplan unit delivery costs against planned costs and explain key variances.
  • Reconcile financial submissions to operational assumptions so budget asks and variances are supportable.
  • Drive commentary that quantifies drivers, identifies risks and opportunities, and assigns follow-up actions.

More Information

Annual Salary

$201,000-$236,000
