Manage US tax matters for The Emirates Group (including but not limited to its dnata entities), ensuring compliance with US federal, state, and local tax laws. Provide regional tax governance oversight and advisory support across the Americas to dnata and the wider Emirates Group portfolio companies, including support for M&A, restructurings, and new business initiatives. The role supports tax provisioning, OECD Pillar Two implementation, transfer pricing matters, and promotes strong tax governance and risk management in line with Group tax policy.
This is a full-time in-office role. Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance at the designated workplace is an essential function of the position. The Taxation Manager - US must be physically present in the office on a regular basis to perform the role’s core duties, including timely coordination with local finance teams, the Group Taxation Team, external advisors, auditors, and other stakeholders;
handling confidential tax, finance, and business information; participating in in-person meetings and time-sensitive discussions; supporting compliance, reporting, audit, governance, and risk management processes; and responding promptly to business needs. The ability to work effectively from the designated workplace, collaborate in person, and be available during required business hours is necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
- Act as the key point of contact for US tax matters, overseeing compliance, reporting, and technical tax matters. This includes preparing, reviewing, and timely filing US federal, state, and local income tax returns, working closely with external advisors and local finance teams. You are also responsible for ensuring all other US tax filing/compliance obligations (monthly, quarterly and annually) are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Serve as the US tax contact for the Group Taxation Team, external tax advisors, and tax authorities, and support broader Americas‑related advisory matters as required. Provide advice on ad-hoc tax related questions from the finance teams in the US and wider Americas region.
- Manage tax provisioning and reporting for US entities, including current and deferred tax calculations, effective tax rate analysis, and support in interim and year‑end external tax audits as part of the financial reporting process.
- Provide tax governance oversight and advisory support across the Americas, ensuring regional alignment with Group tax policies, risk management standards, and control frameworks.
- Provide tax advisory support on Americas‑related strategic initiatives, including M&A, corporate restructurings, financings, and cross‑border transactions, in coordination with the Group Taxation Team and external advisors.
- Support the Group’s OECD Pillar Two programme, including assessment of US impacts and broader Americas considerations, data coordination, and support for compliance and reporting processes.
- Support transfer pricing matters across the Americas, including coordination with the Group Taxation Team on policies, review of intercompany arrangements, and oversight of local documentation and compliance requirements. This includes local management of transfer pricing compliance obligations, including country‑by‑country reporting and supporting frameworks for cross border transfer pricing arrangement in line with the Group-wide Transfer Pricing policy.
- Monitor US tax law and Americas regional tax developments and assess their impact on dnata and the Emirates Group, providing clear and practical recommendations to stakeholders.
