** Role Overview
** J.P. Morgan Asset Management is seeking a Vice President for the Private Equity Group ("PEG") in its New York office. PEG is one of the longest-standing global private equity programs in the industry, managing approximately $41 billion of assets on behalf of leading global institutions and individual investors. The team consists of 74 professionals across New York, London, Hong Kong, Palm Beach and Mumbai, running a global investment program that spans primary, secondary and co-investment opportunities across buyout, venture capital and growth equity.
This role will focus on sourcing, underwriting and executing private equity secondary investments, with a particular emphasis on GP-led opportunities.
** Key Responsibilities**- Play a leading role in the sourcing, due diligence and monitoring of private equity secondary investments, with a focus on GP-led opportunities
- Manage all aspects of transactions, including deal sourcing, diligence, approval, negotiation and execution
- Represent the PEG in the investment community at annual meetings, conferences and other industry events
- Train Associates and Analysts throughout the entire investment life cycle
- Support business development and fundraising efforts involving the secondary investment strategy
** Qualifications**- Minimum 8 years of relevant industry experience, including multiple years of private equity secondary investing experience (both GP-led and LP experience preferred)- Excellent writing, communication, presentation and analytical skills
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to promote and demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude
