The Family Office team delivers customized financial strategies, acting as a dedicated trusted advisor across financial management, financial operations, trust and estate planning, charitable planning, and concierge services.
LMC seeks a Director of Family Office Business Management in our Family Office Division. The individual will drive excellence and accuracy to support the company in achieving its growth ambitions.
What You’ll Do:Financial Management
- Develop and manage customized financial strategies for HNW clients, optimizing after-tax returns and risk-adjusted outcomes.
- Prepare and analyze comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and statements of net worth.
- Conduct financial risk audits to identify vulnerabilities and safeguard family and business assets.
- Advise on real estate acquisitions, investment opportunities, lending arrangements, and other lifestyle and business financial decisions.
- Manage daily financial operations including bill payment, wire processing, account reconciliation, and cash flow oversight.
- Coordinate investment reporting, funding logistics, and tax document compilation.
- Streamline accounting processes and monthly close procedures to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Process payroll and oversee related tax filings across multiple states and jurisdictions.
- Develop and implement multi-state and international tax reduction strategies tailored to each client.
- Review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
- Stay current on evolving federal and state tax legislation and translate developments into actionable client guidance.
- Coordinate with internal tax teams and external auditors to ensure reporting accuracy and audit preparedness.
- Partner with estate counsel and trust administrators to support clients’ legacy and wealth transfer objectives.
- Assist clients in developing charitable giving strategies that align with their values and optimize tax impact.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of HNW client relationships, fostering deep trust and long-term partnerships.
- Coordinate concierge-level financial tasks including complex purchases, insurance reviews, and bespoke financing arrangements.
- Act as liaison between clients and third-party stakeholders including attorneys, investment advisors, and lenders.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, supporting their professional development and adherence to firm standards.
- Contribute to workflow improvements and systems optimization across the Family Office practice.
Required
- 10+ years of experience in business management, accounting, or financial advisory for high-net-worth clients.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-entity client relationships with significant assets under oversight.
- Proficiency with accounting and business management platforms (e.g., Quick Books, Data Faction, Agilink, or comparable tools).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and client service orientation.
- CPA license or active candidacy.
- Strong command of tax planning and compliance across individual, corporate, and partnership structures.
- Experience in entertainment, media, or other specialized business management contexts.
- Familiarity with multi-state and international tax structures.
- Experience with CCH, BNA Tax Planning, Lacerte, Pro Systems, or comparable tax platforms.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity.

The annual base salary range for this role is $,000. This range includes the anticipated low and high end of LMC’s salary range for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on various factors, including experience, education and/or skill level.
