Location: New York

We are seeking an Emerging Markets Credit Research Analyst to join a global fixed income team. The researcher will support a senior analyst by conducting fundamental research on emerging market corporate and sovereign issuers, developing investment recommendations, and identifying attractive risk-adjusted opportunities across the EM debt universe. This role is ideal for an intellectually curious investor looking to deepen their fundamental credit expertise within a long-term, research-driven investment environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct fundamental credit research on emerging market corporate and sovereign issuers across Latin America, Asia, CEEMEA, and Frontier Markets.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models, credit analyses, and industry frameworks.
  • Analyze company financial statements, capital structures, liquidity profiles, and key credit drivers.
  • Monitor macroeconomic, political, regulatory, and industry developments affecting issuers and markets under coverage.
  • Prepare investment memoranda, research reports, and presentations for portfolio managers and investment committees.
  • Assist in evaluating primary market opportunities and secondary market investments across investment grade and high yield credits.
  • Engage with company management teams, sell-side analysts, industry experts, and other market participants to develop differentiated investment insights.
Qualifications
  • 2-6 years of experience in credit research, investment banking, leveraged finance, ratings advisory, fixed income investing, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, corporate finance, accounting, and credit fundamentals.
  • Experience building financial models and conducting company-level research.
  • Interest in global macroeconomic trends and emerging markets investing.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into concise investment recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • CFA charter holder or CFA candidate preferred.
