We are partnering with a highly respected Top 10 wealth management firm, and the family office division is seeking a Tax Family Office Senior Associate to join its New York team. This role offers a unique blend of tax compliance, tax planning, financial administration, and client advisory work, making it an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to broaden their expertise beyond traditional tax preparation.
WhatYou'll Be Doing
- Prepare and review individual, business, and fiduciary income tax returns, including multi-state filings
- Assist with tax planning, projections, estimated tax calculations, and year-round advisory services
- Respond to tax notices and support IRS and state tax audits
- Conduct tax research and participate in special projects
- Review payroll tax filings and information returns
- Support forensic accounting and financial analyses related to matrimonial matters
- Provide business management and financial administration services to high-net-worth individuals and families
- Review financial statements, budgets, cash flow analyses, spending reports, and financial plans
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while serving as a trusted advisor
- Collaborate with attorneys, investment advisors, accountants, and other members of a client's professional services team
- Manage workflow, client engagements, billing, and overall profitability of assigned accounts
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required;
Master's in Taxation preferred - CPA preferred
- 5-7 years of high-net-worth tax experience within a CPA firm, family office, or wealth management environment
- Strong experience preparing and reviewing complex individual income tax returns
- Knowledge of tax planning, financial planning, and financial administration concepts
- Proficiency with CCH Axcess Tax and Quick Books (Desktop and Online)
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a client-focused environment
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Busy SeasonHours:
- Approximately 45 hours per week
. - Emphasis on maintaining reasonable non-billable hour expectations.
- Non-busy season 40 hours per week
$120,000 - $140,000 + 10-15% Bonus
