Operations Consultant – Loan Operations – administration of syndicated loans and private credit

Position Summary

Seeking an experienced Operations Consultant with expertise in Loan Operations to support one or more client engagements within the asset management and alternative investment industry. The consultant will be responsible for supporting the day to day administration of syndicated loans, private credit, CLOs, CDOs, and other credit products, ensuring operational accuracy throughout the trade lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is a detail oriented operations professional with hands on experience in loan administration, settlements, reconciliations, and middle office operations. This individual will work closely with operations teams, custodians, counter parties, fund administrators, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions while supporting operational excellence.

• Perform asset setup and ongoing maintenance of loan positions.
• Process loan trades through the complete trade lifecycle.
• Process agent notices and corporate actions.
• Coordinate trade settlements with counter parties and settlement agents.
• Maintain accurate security and position information across operational systems.
• Support client onboarding activities as required.

• Perform daily cash reconciliations.
• Perform daily position reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks.
• Escalate aged exceptions appropriately.
• Coordinate issue resolution with internal and external stakeholders.

• Liaise with custodians, brokers, loan agents, and counter parties.
• Support operational reporting requirements.
• Assist with documentation of operational procedures.
• Support process improvement initiatives.
• Participate in operational projects and business initiatives.
• Perform additional operational responsibilities as required.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
• 3 - 5 years of experience within Loan Operations, Loan Administration, Middle Office, or Fund Operations.
• Experience supporting one or more of the following:
  • Syndicated Loans
  • Bilateral Loans
  • Private Credit
  • Private Debt
  • CLOs
  • CDOs
  • Credit Funds
• Strong understanding of the investment trade lifecycle.
• Experience performing trade settlements and reconciliations.
• Experience working with custodians, counter parties, and loan agents.
