Vice President - Technology Investment Banking (Specialist Vertical Coverage)

Our client is a specialist technology investment banking team known for deep domain expertise in software and data businesses built for specific end markets, rather than broad horizontal coverage.

Coverage spans several specialist areas including automotive and dealership workflow software, where the team is regarded as a leading advisor, alongside risk and compliance software, and newer areas including legal tech, insurtech, construction and field service technology, and supply chain logistics. Deal flow is almost entirely North America focused, primarily sellside M&A and capital raising advisory in the lower to middle market, with deal sizes ranging from $100m up to $5bn and enterprise values typically in the $250m to $750m range.

The team runs a genuinely bottoms up culture. Bankers at every level get exposure to business development and client relationships earlier than is typical elsewhere, with a track record of internal promotion into senior roles.

This is a senior execution hire. We're looking for a VP who can lead deal processes day to day, drive point directly with clients, and take real ownership of upskilling the Analyst and Associate bench beneath them, an increasingly important function as the team continues to grow. Strong preference for candidates from pure-play investment banking with direct technology deal experience, someone who can hit the ground running without needing to be walked through M&A process fundamentals.
