Aerflo is redefining hydration on the go with the world's first portable soda maker that turns still water into sparkling water anytime, anywhere. Rooted in innovation, good design, and sustainability, we're building a future where sparkling water is more accessible, less wasteful, and infinitely more enjoyable.
About the RoleWe are hiring a VP of Finance to own the entire finance function for Aerflo's domestic and international activities. You will report to the Co-Presidents and work closely with Group Finance in Vienna.
This is a building role. You will set up the finance structure: clean monthly and year-end close, a reporting package the group can rely on, budgets and forecasts that hold up, transfer pricing systems, and a treasury and financing setup that matches how the business actually runs and is ready for growth. You will also hold a key role in the company's SAP ERP program and the upcoming S/4
HANA implementation.
You will be a true business partner to the leadership team, working on partnerships, key accounts, and long-term strategy. That means sitting in commercial decisions early and modeling business scenarios end to end, from the financial case through the supply chain implications, so the team can see what a launch or a channel shift actually does to cash and profitability.
The right person has experience with growth-stage businesses, ideally consumer goods, has run finance for a US company and has international experience, yet is comfortable being the only senior finance person on the team, and has done the work of putting a function together rather than inheriting one.
Responsibilities- Own accounting for Aerflo: month-end and year-end close, statutory and group reporting, and the relationship with external auditors.
- Own controlling and FP&A: budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, business modeling, and the core KPIs Aerflo is managed against.
- Establish and maintain transfer pricing between Aerflo and the group, working with group finance and external advisors.
- Manage treasury, cash forecasting, banking relationships, and financing needs for Aerflo.
- Lead the workstream of the company's SAP program and S/4
HANA implementation, from design decisions through go-live and adoption. - Build the Aerflo finance function itself: structure, processes, controls, systems, and the team to run them.
- Partner with the Aerflo leadership team on commercial and strategic decisions, including pricing, channel economics, capital spend, and new product launches.
- Coordinate payroll through our external provider and own the finance controls around it.
- Work with outside counsel on legal and compliance matters affecting the business.
- 10+ years in finance, with at least 3 in a head-of-finance or senior controller role.
- Experience reporting into an international parent or group, including consolidation into a non-US standard and working across time zones.
- Strong technical accounting foundation. You can close the books yourself if you need to, and you know when something in the ledger is wrong before anyone tells you.
- Real FP&A depth: you build the model, you do not just review it.
- Hands‑on experience with transfer pricing, intercompany accounting, and multi‑entity consolidation.
- ERP implementation experience, ideally SAP, on the business side rather than as an IT observer.
- Fluent with AI tools in a finance setting. You use them to speed up close, reporting, and analysis rather than adding headcount to do the same work.
- Manufacturing, CPG, or consumer products background, with working knowledge of inventory, cost accounting, and gross margin mechanics.
- Comfortable in a small team where the finance department is you and a short list of people until you build it out.
- CPA, MBA, or equivalent is a plus, not a requirement.
- BA in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent years of experience.
Compensation will be determined by experience and demonstrated impact. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for an annual performance bonus and participation in the company's long‑term incentive plan. Benefits include 401(k), full health coverage, and paid time off. Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors determining the base pay at offer, including but not limited to: skills, qualifications, and experience.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
