in this role, you'll support the origination and portfolio management of commercial loans. The position offers the chance to deepen your knowledge and advance your career within an entrepreneurial institution.

responsibilities
  • provide analyst coverage for assigned business unit(s), which may include commercial real estate, healthcare, middle market c&i, asset based lending, private banking, and leveraged finance.
  • support the origination of new loans by analyzing and spreading financial statements, completing borrower and guarantor due diligence, assessing market conditions and comparables, and preparing screening memorandums.
  • assist underwriters in the completion of comprehensive investment committee presentations. Identify credit risk factors and transaction strengths, utilizing findings to complete risk rating and profitability calculations. Analyze sponsor and/or guarantor financial wherewithal, including the completion of global cash flow analyses.
  • work closely with portfolio management and the bank’s customers to maintain borrower compliance. Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual monitoring requirements in a timely fashion.
  • ensure digital and physical loan files remain appropriately organized.
  • complete regular reporting requirements to support internal and external audit activity.
  • develop and maintain procedures, process maps, job aides, and templates to improve transparency and cross-functional collaboration within the bank.
  • participate and/or lead assigned continuous improvement projects and initiatives
qualifications
  • bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics, or related field; candidates with alternate education and compensating work experience considered.
  • completion of a formal credit training program preferred.
  • expert in all microsoft office applications, with a high overall aptitude for adopting and leveraging technology tools, including ai solutions.
  • superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • ability to both self-direct in independent assignments and work collaboratively in a team environment.
