Company OverviewJunson Capital is a multi-strategy asset management firm with a global presence in Singapore, Hong Kong SAR, New York City, and Palo Alto. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Analyst to join our Alternative Investment Division in our Hong Kong office. This role will involve deep engagement in fund investments with a focus on alternative yielding strategies, especially in the private credit and structured credit markets in the US and EU.
MainPurpose of Job
The Intern will support the investment team in conducting fundamental research, financial analysis, industry screening, market monitoring, and investment execution support across a range of opportunities. The role will provide hands-on exposure to alternative investments, structured products, and broader capital markets activities. The ideal candidate should have prior internship or academic exposure to private equity, investment banking, trading, or related investment functions, with structured products knowledge viewed favorably.
KeyAccountabilities
- Conduct industry, company, and market research to support investment screening and due diligence.
- Assist in evaluating potential investment opportunities across private and public market strategies.
- Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, comparable company analysis, and investment materials.
- Support ongoing portfolio monitoring, performance tracking, and preparation of internal investment memos or presentation materials.
- Track global macro, credit, and capital markets developments relevant to the investment portfolio and pipeline.
- Assist with execution-related work streams, including data collection, due diligence coordination, and interaction with external counter parties where appropriate.
- Conduct research on structured products, private credit, and other alternative investment strategies as needed.
- Take ownership of ad hoc projects and provide analytical support to senior team members.
- MBA or graduate student from a top university, preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, or other quantitative disciplines.
- a part-time / full-time long-term internship during the academic year.
- Prior internship or work experience inprivate equity, investment banking, sales & trading, asset management, hedge funds, or related financial institutionsis strongly preferred.
- Exposure tostructured products, structured credit, fixed income, derivatives, or alternative investmentsis a strong plus.
- Strong interest in investing, financial markets, and transaction-oriented analysis.
- Exemplary fundamental research skills and quick adaptation to understanding new industries, companies, and products.
- Strong analytical and research capabilities, with attention to detail.
- Ability to understand new industries, companies, and products quickly, which aligns with the expectations
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and project management.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective business counter party interactions.
- Highly proficient in monitoring investment portfolios and producing detailed, strategic insights.
- Capable of operating independently whilst maintaining collaborative team dynamics.
