** Role Overview
** Capital One Ventures (COV), the strategic investment arm of Capital One, is hiring a Manager, Venture Investing based in New York, New York. The role sits within Capital One's corporate venture capital team and focuses on sourcing, evaluating, and executing investments in technology companies aligned with Capital One's strategic priorities.
** Key Responsibilities**- Source companies and sectors for investment opportunities, building and maintaining a pipeline of prospective venture investments
- Manage due diligence and financial analysis for prospective transactions, including evaluating business models, market opportunity, and competitive positioning
- Collaborate with teams across Capital One to identify strategic technology sectors of interest for the corporate venture portfolio
- Monitor the performance of existing portfolio companies and support the overall culture and operations of the venture investing team
** Qualifications
* * Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in finance, strategy, or technology.
Preferred qualifications include 4+ years of experience in venture capital, technology product management, private equity, investment banking, software engineering, AI, startup operations, or technology strategy consulting; familiarity with startup development life cycles from equity financing through monetization; and a demonstrated ability to source, evaluate, and execute venture capital transactions.
** Compensation
* * The New York-based salary range for this position is $179,700–$205,100 annually, plus eligibility for performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives. Capital One will not sponsor employment authorization for this position.
