Within the J.P. Morgan Private Bank, the Derivatives Solutions specialist team works seamlessly with Wealth Management Advisors, strategists, and trading/product partners to help high net worth clients assess market dynamics and implement investment and risk management solutions.

As an Equity Options Solutions, Executive Director you will lead advisor coverage focused on helping HNW clients manage concentrated single-stock exposures using listed equity options and other approved derivative and alternative solutions. This role requires the ability to translate complex option structures and underlying equity risks into clear, client-ready narratives supported by analytics, scenario analysis, and hypothetical portfolio management comparisons, while operating with strong organizational skills to support a large advisor base.

Job responsibilities:
  • Provide Advisors with exceptional guidance & service in evaluating, structuring, and managing solutions for HNW clients with concentrated equity positions using listed options and approved derivative/alternative products
  • Lead with deep competence in risk and portfolio management for concentrated single-stock exposures, including trade-offs across downside protection, upside participation, income generation, liquidity needs, and client constraints
  • Develop and delivering analytics and hypothetical strategy comparisons (e.g., payoff profiles, scenario analysis, stress tests, key option sensitivities/greeks) tied to both the options position and the underlying equity position
  • Communicate complex concepts (structure mechanics, risks, outcomes, assumptions, and limitations) in Advisor- and client-ready language - both verbally and in writing
  • Provide leadership-level support for pricing, execution guidance, trade structuring, and ongoing lifecycle management (rolls, expirations, assignment/exercise considerations) for U.S. equity options
  • Contribute to platform growth through thought leadership, best practices, and internal enablement (playbooks, training, templates) to improve Advisor fluency in concentrated equity risk management solutions
  • Prepare high-quality analysis and client/advisor materials (e.g., pitch content, one-pagers, talking points) and helping enhance workflows through effective use of approved tooling (e.g., Excel/PowerPoint and AI-enabled processes where permitted)
  • Ability to partner with internal strategists and cross desk partners to effectively collaborate and launch campaigns for proactive client engagement
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Minimum of 10+ years of prior experience in equity options (trading, structuring, or advisor-facing coverage); equity trading experience
  • Demonstrated ability to apply options strategies to concentrated equity / covered equity use cases (e.g., collars, covered calls, protective puts/spreads) and explain outcomes under different market scenarios
  • Familiarity with broader tools to manage concentrated equity positions such as exchange funds, options/collared overlay strategies
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in options modeling, greeks/risk concepts, scenario analysis, and translating analysis into actionable, compliant portfolio considerations
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to articulate complex derivative concepts clearly to non-specialists and to senior stakeholders
  • Strong work ethic, professionalism, and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure with high attention to detail
  • Self‑motivation and demonstration of initiative; proven ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, highly controlled environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel/PowerPoint/Word) and familiarity with market/trading tools (e.g., Bloomberg or comparable systems)
  • Series 7 and 63 required
