- Build Dream Teams.
You are a detail-oriented accounting professional who brings rigor and clarity to complex cost allocations and segment reporting. Comfortable operating in ambiguity within a fast-paced, multi-segment environment, you combine strong analytical skills with the communication ability to translate expense data into insights business unit leaders can act on. You take initiative in identifying ways to improve reporting and allocation processes, and you build effective working relationships across both corporate finance and business unit teams.
What You’ll Do:- Support month-end and quarter-end close for corporate and business unit entities, with emphasis on expense-related account reconciliations (opex, accruals, intercompany allocations).
- Assist in intercompany eliminations and consolidation procedures, particularly as they relate to cost allocations between corporate and business units.
- Partner with FP&A on monthly expense analysis and ad hoc requests by legal entity, segment, and business unit — identifying drivers of variance vs. budget/forecast and prior period.

- Own segment reporting deliverables and SEC segment disclosure support, ensuring expense allocations and eliminations roll up accurately and segment financial data ties out to underlying source.
- Review capitalized costs for accuracy and proper treatment, distinguishing capitalizable spend from opex within the segment reporting framework.
- Analyze legal entity level results for service entities, translating cost allocation methodology (rate-card, pass-through, non-controllable corporate) into clear business unit reporting.
- Support acquisitions and internal restructures from a controllership/expense-reporting lens — integrating new entities into the segment and allocation framework.
- Manage and respond to audit requests related to expense reporting and segment results.
- Embrace and champion the thoughtful adoption of AI to improve team performance and business outcomes.
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., generative AI, automation platforms, data copilots) to improve productivity, decision-making, and output quality in your day-to-day work.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting/controllership, ideally with exposure to segment reporting or cost allocation
- Familiarity with maintaining books and records of a bank or financial institution
- Strong analytical skills, comfortable building and maintaining datasets/models in Excel (pivot-heavy expense analysis, allocation waterfalls)
- Experience translating cost/expense data into business-unit-friendly narratives — this role bridges controllership and business unit stakeholders
