Investor Engagement Researcher Overview

The firm seeks a highly motivated individual with a keen interest in corporate governance, shareholder activism, and corporate transactions. This role is well suited for candidates with 1-2 years of relevant experience, as well as recent graduates who have developed strong analytical, research, and communication skills through internships, coursework, or academic projects.

Candidates must have excellent Microsoft Excel skills and strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate across different teams. They must also demonstrate excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.

Accountabilities
  • On an ongoing basis, assist in compiling reports of an issuer’s top shareholders using multiple sources.
  • Throughout the year, help maintain and update client shareholder files at the direction of Investor Engagement team members.
  • Conduct research and assist in producing summary reports regarding shareholder voting policies and patterns.
  • Research specific issues across multiple data sources and incorporate relevant data into new and historical databases and spreadsheets.
  • Create investor profiles and research investor contacts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Applicants should have a minimum of one year of financial industry, research, or analytical experience. Relevant internship experience, academic research, or project-based experience may also be considered.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced MS Office skills including Word, PowerPoint, and exceptional Excel skills, with the ability to work confidently with large datasets, formulas, sorting, and filtering.
