What is Kalshi?
Kalshi has defined a new category: prediction markets. Kalshi allows people to trade on the outcome of any events and turn any question about the future into a financial asset. Kalshi fought for years and legalized prediction markets in the US for the first time in history, is currently the fastest growing financial market in America, and has thousands of markets across politics, economics, financials, weather, tech, AI, culture and more.
We believe prediction markets have the potential to be the largest financial market because they turn anything into a financial position.
Our vision: well… build the largest financial market on the planet.
Our mission: bring more truth to the world through the power of markets.
Our culture is simple: we hire really talented people, work really hard, and enjoy the climb. We are looking for ambitious and exceptional people to join our (relatively small) team to help us build the next generation of financial markets.
Role RoadmapAs part of Kalshi’s Compliance team, you will help build and own a critical part of our financial crime compliance program. You will be responsible for establishing a robust transaction monitoring program, strengthening our existing AML and KYC controls, and creating the workflows needed to identify, investigate,
** escalate**, and report suspicious activity as Kalshi grows.
This is a highly operational role with meaningful program-building responsibility. In the near term, you will develop transaction monitoring policies and procedures, work through historical and ongoing alert activity, support AML audits and partner diligence, and strengthen our KYC and sanctions processes. Over time, you will independently own the day-to-day transaction monitoring, SAR, KYC remediation, and OFAC rescreening functions while evolving the program as Kalshi introduces new payment methods, products, partners, and international capabilities.
The ideal candidate combines strong financial crime judgment with an operator’s mindset: someone who can build the program, work through high volumes themselves, make sound escalation decisions, and continuously improve the systems and controls around them.
What You’ll DoBuild and operate Kalshi’s transaction monitoring program, including alerting frameworks, investigation workflows, escalation standards, policies, procedures, and documentation
Review and disposition transaction monitoring alerts, investigate potentially suspicious activity, and coordinate the preparation and filing of SARs where applicable

Support AML audits, regulatory examinations, and diligence requests from banking, payments, FCM, and other strategic partners
Partner with Product, Engineering, Payments, Compliance, and Operations to improve automation and controls across AML, KYC, fraud, sanctions, and transaction monitoring workflows
Identify emerging financial crime risks associated with new products, payment methods, customer types, and international expansion and translate them into practical controls
Develop metrics and reporting to measure alert volumes, investigation outcomes, turnaround times, KYC remediation, and other indicators of program effectiveness
Support broader market surveillance and DCM compliance initiatives where financial crime and trading activity intersect
7–10 years of relevant experience across AML, KYC, fraud, transaction monitoring, financial crimes compliance, or related functions
Significant hands‑on experience investigating and dispositioning transaction monitoring alerts and identifying potentially suspicious activity
Strong familiarity with SAR investigation, drafting, escalation, and filing requirements
Experience designing or materially improving AML, KYC, fraud, or transaction monitoring policies, procedures, controls, and…
