- Develop and maintain deep knowledge of the Global Banking & Markets product spectrum
- Drive speed to market and asset quality
- Assess portfolio risk at client, industry, and macro levels and craft value-added solutions balancing risk and return
- Independently assess creditworthiness and conduct due diligence on prospective borrowers and trading counter parties
- Establish terms and conditions that mitigate risk within the bank’s risk appetite and strategies
- Actively monitor a complex client portfolio, including credit-profile changes and compliance with credit agreements
- Provide efficient credit approval to Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets, and Treasury
- Structure transactions and negotiate credit documentation, including credit agreements, amendments, ISDAs, and CSAs
- Establish and adjust internal risk ratings throughout clients’ credit life cycles
- Manage relationships with Corporate and Investment Bankers, Sales & Trading, Risk Management, Syndications, and Legal
- Participate in strategic projects supporting business goals
- Manage all aspects of credit risk for Municipal Banking and Markets counter parties and issuers
- Manage a high-volume portfolio using a risk-based approach while adhering to credit risk standards
- Partner with Trading, Structuring, Sales, and internal support functions
- Evaluate and support transactions in a dynamic capital markets and trading environment
- 5+ years of prior counter party credit risk management and due diligence experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Proficiency with Bloomberg
- Financial institutions or municipal counter party experience desired
- Ability to assess creditworthiness and perform due diligence
- Ability to structure transactions and negotiate credit documentation
- Strong execution and prioritization skills
- Analytical thinking, credit and risk assessment, financial analysis, research analysis, underwriting, and portfolio analysis
