Investor Relations

Venture Capital / Investor Relations | New York, NY / On-site

About the Company

We are representing an established venture investment firm backing ambitious technology and science companies from early stage through later-stage growth.

The firm invests across areas including artificial intelligence, software infrastructure, robotics, energy, space technology, and life sciences. It combines an active investment strategy with a strong institutional investor network and works closely with portfolio companies as they scale.

This is an opportunity to join a lean, high-performing team with broad exposure across fundraising, investor relationships, co-investments, and the investment process.

The Role

We are looking for a highly organized and commercially minded Investor Relations professional to help manage and expand relationships with institutional limited partners.

You will work with a sophisticated LP base that includes endowments, pension funds, and other large institutional investors. The role combines relationship management, fundraising, co-investment execution, and operational ownership, while providing close exposure to the investment team and portfolio.

This role is ideal for someone who is intellectually curious, highly detail-oriented, comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment, and excited by venture investing and high-growth companies.

What You'll Do
  • Manage relationships and ongoing communications with existing institutional LPs.
  • Prepare and deliver portfolio updates and relevant investment information to investors.
  • Present and coordinate co-investment opportunities alongside the broader investment team.
  • Source, develop, and maintain relationships with prospective institutional investors.
  • Support significant SPV and co-investment transactions involving existing LP relationships.
  • Collaborate with the investment team across opportunities ranging from early-stage investments through later-stage transactions.
  • Maintain accurate investor data and activity within the firm's CRM.
  • Help strengthen internal processes and ensure a high standard of organization across investor relations activities.
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience in investor relations, fundraising, capital formation, placement agency, or a closely related role.
  • Experience working with or developing relationships with institutional investors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence communicating with sophisticated investors.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in venture capital, technology, and high-growth companies.
  • A proactive, ownership-oriented approach to work.
Nice to Have
  • Experience working with institutional LPs such as endowments, pensions, or other large asset owners.
  • Exposure to venture capital, private markets, or alternative investment strategies.
  • Experience supporting co-investments or SPV transactions.
  • Familiarity with investor CRM systems and fundraising workflows.
  • Experience collaborating directly with investment professionals.
Why This Role Is Exciting
  • Direct LP exposure: Build and manage relationships with sophisticated institutional investors.
  • Broad ownership: Work across fundraising, investor communications, co-investments, and IR operations rather than a narrow functional remit.
  • Investment exposure: Collaborate closely with investors across companies at multiple stages of growth.
  • Meaningful transactions: Participate in substantial co-investment and special-purpose investment opportunities.
  • Lean-team environment: Take meaningful responsibility early and have visible impact on how the investor relations function operates.
  • High-growth sectors: Gain exposure to companies operating across some of the most technically ambitious areas of the innovation economy.
  • Career development: Build a strong foundation across capital formation, institutional investor relationships, and venture investing.
Work Model
  • Full-time position.
  • On-site in New York.
  • Regular in-office collaboration is expected.
  • Visa sponsorship and eligible visa transfers are available.
