Job OverviewAre you looking for a career move that will place you in a global financial organization? Then bring your skills in analysis, problem solving and communication to Citi’s Employee Expense Processing Operations Team.
By joining Citi, you will become part of a global organization whose mission is to serve as a trusted partner to our clients by responsibly providing financial services that enable growth and economic progress.
Team/Role OverviewCiti is looking for an Employee Expense Compliance Analyst to join the Employee Expense Processing Operations team, supporting business partners across EMEA in managing and reimbursing employee expenses in line with the OEGP Operating Expense Governance Policy. In this role, you will play a direct part in ensuring every expense claim is processed accurately, compliantly, and on time — contributing to the financial controls that underpin Citi's operations across the region.
This is an excellent entry point for a detail-oriented professional looking to build a career in financial operations within a global institution.
- Process employee expense claims accurately and within established timelines, ensuring every transaction meets OEGP Operating Expense Governance Policy requirements before settlement.
- Review and verify the accuracy of expense elements prior to processing, maintaining a consistent standard of quality across all transactions handled.
- Monitor and maintain service levels across daily operations, tracking performance against defined KPIs to ensure customers receive timely and reliable support.
- Respond to expense-related queries from employees and internal business partners, clarifying requirements and resolving issues or escalating appropriately when needed.
- Ensure all processed expenses comply with the OEGP Operating Expense Governance Policy and applicable external regulations, meeting audit standards at every stage of the process.
- Contribute to projects, programmes, and initiatives that support the goals of the broader Shared and Control Operations organisation.
- Communicates clearly and concisely in written and spoken English, adapting style effectively to different audiences.
- Applies problem-solving skills to identify workable solutions using available information and prior experience, without requiring step-by-step direction.
- Works confidently with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and Outlook at an intermediate level to support daily operational tasks.
- Demonstrates a commitment to integrity and ethical conduct in every aspect of work, particularly when handling sensitive financial data.
- Picks up new processes, systems, and procedures quickly, applying learning effectively to deliver quality output from an early stage.
- Engages professionally and constructively with colleagues and business partners from a wide range of professional backgrounds.
At Citi, we invest in our people from day one. Joining the Employee Expense Processing Operations team means stepping into a structured, delivery-focused environment where your growth is actively supported — not just expected. You will have access to real operational responsibility, clear career development pathways, and the backing of a global network committed to helping you reach your potential. This includes:
- Structured learning and development support designed to help you grow from a solid foundation to genuine expertise in financial operations and expense compliance.
- Exposure to a pan-EMEA operational environment, giving you broad perspective and the opportunity to develop skills that are valued across global financial services.
- Participation in cross-functional projects and programmes that expand your understanding of the wider organisation…
