Equity Trader - Global Hedge Fund

OCR Alpha is partnered with a multi-billion-dollar hedge fund that has experienced significant growth in recent years, driven by strong investment performance and continued expansion across its platform. The firm is now looking to hire an Equity Trader to join its New York office.

Sitting directly alongside the investment team, the role will work closely with a group of high-calibre Portfolio Managers across a range of strategies. The primary focus will be equities and equity derivatives, with additional exposure to macro products across the platform.

As the firm's first dedicated trading hire, this individual will have the opportunity to take significant ownership of the execution function, supporting Portfolio Managers with trade execution, order management and market colour while helping to develop the firm's trading capabilities as the platform continues to scale.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of relevant trading experience, strong knowledge of equity markets and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative investment environment.
