Overview
Our client, a leading growth and venture investment firm, is seeking to hire an experienced executive to help lead investor relations and capital formation initiatives. Working closely with the firm’s leadership team and Head of Capital Formation, the successful candidate will play a critical role in advancing the franchise and driving long-term enterprise value.
This individual will be responsible for all aspects of capital formation, including fundraising strategy and execution, content, limited partner coverage, team leadership, and product development. In addition, they will serve as a strategic partner to the firm as it evaluates both organic growth opportunities and potential inorganic initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bring 6+ years of direct private markets capital raising and investor relations experience. Strong analytical skills, a polished and credible client presence, and the ability to independently drive complex processes are essential. This is a high-impact opportunity within a sophisticated, collaborative investment platform.
Key ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities Include:
- Lead and support fundraising campaigns end-to-end, including preparation of marketing materials, management of diligence processes, and coordination across internal stakeholders.
- Effectively articulate the firm’s investment strategy, business model, portfolio construction, key metrics, and underlying portfolio company performance.
- Play a strategic role in the development of new and innovative capital solutions, including differentiated fund structures, evergreen vehicles, and new product strategies such as secondaries.
- Serve as a connective tissue between investment teams and LPs, translating strategy, portfolio activity, and market insights into clear, compelling narratives.
- Exhibit high emotional and social intelligence, with the ability to engage credibly and thoughtfully across a wide range of internal and external constituencies.
- Build and maintain deep relationships with LPs globally, while partnering with firm leadership and investment professionals to expand and strengthen relationships across pensions, foundations, sovereign wealth funds, insurers, and family offices.
- Demonstrate a clear aptitude for high-ticket institutional “sales,” with a proven track record of helping close LP commitments.
