A leading middle-market investment bank or corporate finance group may seek a Business Origination Manager to identify, source, and develop new business opportunities. This role is ideal for candidates who are strategic, client-focused, and interested in the front-end of deal-making, including pipeline development, market mapping, and stakeholder engagement.

Identify and pursue new client relationships and potential transaction opportunities

Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective deals, partnerships, and strategic initiatives

Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform business development strategies

Collaborate with senior bankers, deal teams, and internal stakeholders to assess client needs

Prepare client presentations, pitch materials, and executive summaries for new opportunities

Track origination metrics, business development activities, and reporting to management

Support strategic account planning and lead generation initiatives

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related discipline

Strong relationship management, networking, and communication skills

Ability to identify business opportunities and build long-term client relationships

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Prior internship or full-time experience in investment banking, corporate finance, consulting, or business development is advantageous
