72’s Tax team oversees tax compliance for 30+ funds, 75+ private equity and management companies, high net worth individuals, and tax‑exempt organizations. We conduct tax research and manage all tax‑related projects with external counsel, public accounting firms, and within Point
72. The Tax team coordinates with Big Four accounting firms to prepare and review partnership, corporate, individual, international, and state returns.

About The Tax InternshipThe Tax Compliance internship at Point
72 provides individuals interested in pursuing a career in Tax at an investment firm with a valuable, hands‑on experience. During the 10‑week internship based in our Stamford, CT or New York, NY office, you will gain exposure to:
- Helping to prepare and perform initial reviews of various tax work papers, partnership allocations, and tax estimates to assist with the tax compliance process as needed
- Assisting with daily processes such as reviewing investments for tax sensitivities
- Proprietary internal software to generate Schedules K-1 and tax return templates to be used by external tax advisors to prepare tax returns
- Hedge fund, private equity, venture capital, management company, and exempt organization tax returns and issues

In addition to the learning and development you’ll receive in your day‑to‑day role with your team, as a part of our summer internship program you will:
- Work alongside your fellow interns and be mentored by experienced professionals
- Meet your peers through designated intern programming, volunteer opportunities, and social events
- Attend sessions with senior leaders discussing their expertise and career paths
- Get hands‑on access to the wealth of tools and resources that Point

- Develop technical, writing, and presentation skills
- Participate in networking opportunities across the firm, with groups such as Trading, Finance, Trade Support, Compliance, and Technology
- Expected Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (Spring 2026 - Spring 2027)
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong analytical, writing, verbal communication, and technical skills
- Strong attention to detail and capability to remain organized
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of the team
- Ability and willingness to conduct yourself with professionalism and integrity at all times
- A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards

The annual base salary is $75,000 (USD) which will be prorated based on internship start and end date. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
