About the GroupThe Insurance Investment Banking Group is an industry powerhouse that provides sophisticated financial advisory and capital‑raising services to insurance services firms and underwriters, as well as to financial sponsors, pension funds and sovereign wealth funds.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain client relationships within the insurance sector.
- Structure and execute mergers and acquisitions on the buy‑side and sell‑side.
- Prepare and present equity and debt financing proposals.
- Conduct due diligence and manage transaction execution processes.
- Prepare industry and client presentations and financial models.
- Collaborate with senior bankers and team members in a fast‑paced environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3‑5 years of prior investment banking or private equity experience.
- Insurance or related industry experience preferred.
- Experience with buy‑side and sell‑side M&A, equity and debt financing transactions.
- Excellent financial modeling skills and experience preparing industry and client presentations.
- Experience with due diligence and transaction execution processes.
- Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a deal team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Extremely detail‑oriented and organized with the ability to multi‑task.
- Strong work ethic, motivation level, leadership qualities and desire to take initiative.
- Ability to interact with a wide range of constituents and serve as a point of contact on deal teams.
- Long‑term interest in investment banking.
The anticipated starting salary range for this New York City‑based position is $175,000 - $225,000 per year. Placement within this range is dependent upon level of experience. The position may also be eligible for annual incentive compensation, which will be part of the total compensation. Total compensation will be competitive with the market.
