Private Equity Associate - Megafund Energy Transition & Infrastructure

Madison Hunt is partnered with a leading private investment platform focused on the energy transition to hire an Investment Associate for its New York office.

The firm invests across a broad range of sectors driving the global energy transition, including power generation, renewable energy, battery storage, grid modernization, electrification, sustainable fuels, industrial decarbonization, digital infrastructure, and waste & water. Taking a long-term, value creation-oriented investment approach, the team partners closely with management teams to scale businesses through strategic, operational, and financial initiatives.

With significant capital available for deployment and a robust investment pipeline, the firm is seeking an Associate to play a key role across the full investment lifecycle.

Responsibilities will include:

• Building and reviewing complex financial models
• Conducting commercial, financial, and operational due diligence
• Preparing investment committee materials and presentations
• Supporting transaction execution from origination through closing
• Working alongside portfolio company management teams on strategic value creation initiatives

Candidate Profile

• 2-4 years of investment banking and/or private equity experience
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, analytical, and transaction execution capabilities
• Demonstrated interest in energy transition, infrastructure, power, utilities, or broader climate investing
• Intellectual curiosity, sound commercial judgment, and a genuine passion for the evolving energy landscape
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a lean, collaborative environment and take ownership of work streams
