Vice President of Structuring – Non-Agency Residential Financing & Securitization Group

Citigroup’s Non-Agency Residential Financing & Securitization Group (Resi F&S), a unit within Global Spread Products, seeks an experienced Vice President of Structuring to join its team. The group provides debt facilities, securitization, and advisory services to institutional clients across non‑agency assets such as seasoned performing loans, re‑performing and non‑performing loans, new origination prime and near‑prime loans, HELOCs, closed‑end second mortgages, mortgage servicing rights, credit risk transfer pools, small‑balance commercial (SBC) loans, single‑family rental (SFR) and residential transition loan assets.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the end‑to‑end structuring process for Non‑Agency RMBS transactions, from pitch through closing.
  • Create, modify, and reverse engineer complex cash‑flow waterfalls to ensure accurate structural mechanics.
  • Use Intex Deal Maker to construct deal models, run stress tests, and perform scenario analysis.
  • Collaborate with the banking team to manage the rating agency process, defending structural assumptions and cash flows.
  • Confirm all legal documentation correctly reflects structural outputs.
  • Manage and mentor analysts and associates, providing guidance on credit and exposure information.
  • Assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and Citi policies.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in structured finance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or financial discipline; advanced degree (MBA or MS) or CFA charter a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Intex Deal Maker required.
  • In‑depth understanding of rating agency methodologies.
  • Strong problem‑solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with teams and track business development activities.
  • Series 7, 79, and 63 licenses.
